Neurons and the Nervous system Collection

I chose to base my collection around the nervous system, because it is not a topic that I am too knowledgeable on. A combination of activities, journal articles, book chapters, a podcast and a YouTube video were collected. The materials chosen were done so in a way that would scaffold the topic of the nervous system set in a high school classroom; several resources that would introduce the cells, how those cells function, and the divisions of the nervous system. Additionally, it includes several activities that are based around the idea of cellular function, and function of neural cells to produce a certain physiological output. Finally, it provides information about how knowledge of the nervous system can be applied in various situations and an example of how studying neuroscience can lead to a specific career.
