ELLs in the SCIENCE CLASSROOM Collection
Since 1995, the population of English Language Learners (ELLs) in the United States has increased 57% according to Education Week (Maxwell, 2009. Immigration transforms communities. 28). Inquiry-based science is one of the best ways to help ELLs learn not only science, but also language acquisition. This collection is devoted to help science teachers understand English Language Learners (ELLs) language proficiency needs and to provide strategies for science learning.
