The Middle Level Science Expo has adapted the exciting,
quick-fire format of the popular Pecha Kucha presentations, which originated in
Japan and allows for very focused and streamlined presentations.
This "social show-and-tell event" brings together leaders in science education as
presenters offer 15 slides for 20 seconds each for a
total of five minutes. Each five-minute presentation will offer teaching strategies and resources in
the best practices in science education for our middle level
learners. Presenters will take questions during the last 10 minutes of the
45-minute time allocation.
This event is organized by Mary Lou Lipscomb, Retired Educator, and National
Middle Level Science Teachers Association.
NSTA is grateful to Lab-Aids, Inc. for sponsoring the Middle Level
Science Expo.
