This session will model how to create purposeful,
scaffolded PBL experiences that move students toward constructing explanations
of natural phenomena.
• Examine ways to engage students by using phenomena that directly connect to the core ideas.
• Explore strategies that develop a culture where student thinking is valued
• Examine practices that encourage students to defend their ideas or challenge their classmate’s ideas using evidence
