Students learn best when they are empowered to draw on and
make connections to their own experiences, prior knowledge, and cultural and
social backgrounds. In this interactive session, participants will explore how
an asset-based approach can inform strategic adaptations to core science
instructional materials to promote equity, relevance, and deep learning for all
students.
