The Elementary Extravaganza has been a very popular mainstay of the NSTA
national conferences for eight years. This year it includes a rapid-fire series
of presentations that provide preK–6 teachers with opportunities to impact their
science teaching and learning. Each session will focus on specific topics that
relate to the needs of preschool and elementary teachers.
After an energy-filled series of six presentations, a question and answer
session will be held with presenters to provide time to discuss ideas. Six
presenters in each room will provide ideas using a modified Pecha Kucha
strategy.
The presenters are leaders in elementary science
education and award-winning teachers. This session's presenters are Science
& Children
authors and reviewers. Three additional Elementary Extravaganza sessions will
be scheduled throughout Elementary Week.
