STRAND: Assessment

Show Details

AI and low student engagement have teachers struggling to design meaningful, equitable assessments. This session explores how to use authentic multimedia projects as an uncheatable form of assessment, and a way to share the story of science with your community at the same time.

TAKEAWAYS:
Research shows that the best way to learn something is to teach it. This session will share case studies, workflow, and advice about how to use student-created multimedia projects as a way for students to literally show what they know, for use in both formative and summative assessments.

SPEAKERS:
Michael Hernandez (Mira Costa High School: No City, No State)
