Transforming Science Learning logoLooking for practical ways to better support multilingual learners (MLLs) in science? Join us to explore a powerful tool that makes language development visible within three-dimensional science instruction. You know your students are capable. You know your curriculum is rigorous. But when it comes to supporting multilingual learners, where do you even start? What moments in a lesson sequence matter most for science and language development?

We'll introduce you to a tool: a science and language map—a visual representation that reveals how language develops naturally as students engage in 3D science sensemaking. In this 90-minute interactive session, you'll learn to interpret these maps and see how they can be used to make instructional decisions.

This session is for teachers, coaches, and curriculum leaders who want to better understand where language development happens in a science curriculum—and how to leverage those moments for all students, especially multilingual learners.

This session is presented in partnership with BSCS Science Learning.

All individuals receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points for attending the live seminar and completing the end-of-program survey. A certificate of participation is not awarded for watching the recorded version of the program.

We invite you to register for upcoming web seminars at NSTA.
