NSTA is providing a virtual OpenSciEd (OSE) Curriculum Launch Workshop for the High School Biology Unit B.1 Ecosystem Interactions & Dynamics to immerse you in teaching and learning driven by students making sense of phenomena. Experience the innovative learning of OSE’s high-quality instructional materials first-hand from the students’ perspective (lesson immersions) and see how students’ sensemaking develops across the unit through careful analyses of classroom videos, real student work, and student and teacher interviews.

You will walk away from this experience with a deep understanding of the High School Biology Unit B.1 Ecosystem Interactions & Dynamics and be well-prepared to confidently facilitate learning in your classroom. In addition, you’ll become an expert in navigating all of the resources embedded in the OpenSciEd unit materials so you can maximize your impact on student engagement and learning.

All high school teachers interested in implementing the OSE Biology curriculum or individuals units are welcome and encouraged to attend to become familiar with OSE’s high school science instructional routines.
