Web Seminar

Join us on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET, for an introduction to OpenSciEd.

Curious about a new way to approach science teaching and learning? Join us for OpenSciEd 101–an introductory web seminar designed for teachers, instructional leaders, science coordinators, and anyone interested in discovering how OpenSciEd is transforming science education.

In this session, we will cover the essentials of OpenSciEd and explore why it’s gaining national attention. You will gain a clear understanding of what OpenSciEd is, why it matters, and how it meets the needs of today’s dynamic classrooms.  We will examine how the curriculum aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and state standards, and what that means for coherent, three-dimensional instruction. Most importantly, we will highlight the real-world impact OpenSciEd has on student learning—from deeper engagement to stronger scientific reasoning skills.

Whether you are exploring new curriculum options or looking for powerful ways to support student-centered science instruction, this web seminar is a great place to start.

All individuals receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points for attending the live seminar and completing the end-of-program survey. A certificate of participation is not awarded for watching the recorded version of the program.

We invite you to register for upcoming web seminars at NSTA.
