Hello,

I am a new member to the National Science Teaching Association. I will be a future educator in less than two years and I am really excited to teach elementary students. I understand that science is not incorporated as much in class for elementary students. From what I remember when I was a student, science was usually mixed with math or reading, but there wasn't much focus on the subject alone. What tips or recommendations can current and veteran teachers give me on incorporating more science in my classroom?

I would also appreciate any tips to pass on to my future students' parents so science can also be talked about outside of the classroom.

Thank you,

Jazmin Elizondo
