I think it is very important that students know the importance of the suns energy. It can do so many things and I think kids don't realize that and it makes them so excited when they realize everything that the sun can do! The sun give energy for food chains, to help plants grow, so that we can see, and so many other things. It is also interesting to see what the sun reflects and absorbs. There are so many activites that you can have students do to demonstrate this.
