Would anybody have a suggestion for science assessments that have worked well for grades K-2 and don't cause the teachers a lot of extra work/stress?   I am not talking about a big formal assessment - something light and useful that can show a teacher what the student knows on a topic.  I do have the primary formative assessment probe book by Keeley, which I think is great , and I was considering trying sorting cards for some topics but wondering if anybody had other ideas that teachers liked.  Particularly for grade levels where the students can not read yet. Low stress is the key as we don't want to scare some off of teaching primary science- But at the same time Some have been asking for this.   Thanks!
