Hey Luke! I did a lot of group work with my students because use science fusion and not going to lie but just reading the book is very broing for my students. We have to follow the curriculum to a tea. But I always incorporate hands one where students will get pictures of whatever we are talking about and then they will have a discussion with their groups.
I think it could be fun to introduce plant by growing seeds. We did this in my college course. We grew a raddish seed in a clear jewlery bag so we could watch it sprout. It sprouted within a week!
