What are some resources for finding fun, science lesson plans that do not require any extra spendings?

Hi Lindsay, Every monthly science journal in the NSTA Learning Center contains 5 E lesson plans. If you are a member of NSTA, you have access to all 4 journals electronically. You would be especially interested in the Science & Children journal articles. Also, if you go to NGSS@NSTA, you will find sample lesson plans at the bottom of every page of the standards by grade level and topic. Let us know what grade level you are teaching in science and what topics you have coming up. That way others can offer more specific, fun ideas for you to try out. Carolyn

You can find free lesson plans, lesson bundles, and fun, digital experiences for youth at https://www.tgreduexplore.org/. Lessons are on STEM and college access, including a lesson on preparing for college in elementary school. These are all provided free of charge through a partnership with the Tiger Woods Foundation and Discovery Education. Most of the lessons on this site require inexpensive supplies that are easy to come by.
