I'm a graduate student from Voorhhe's University and I'm taking a STEAM class and we are learning about assessment and evaluation. 

The question I have is, What are the essential components of a performance-based assessment?

Hi Shelley, I believe the essential components of performance-based assessments would be to balance literacy, content knowledge, performance task, identity goals, course standards and most importantly review assessments. I say that becuase there are steps to performanced-based assessment. These assessments are based on the students performance in the classroom.
