I am heading up a professional development group in our school on digital portfolios. As we are generating more and more e-based work, we are looking at the role digital portfolios can play in the curation of a student's work over the course of their time in our school and/or what role they might play in student assessment. If you are using digital portfolios in either setting, I am interested in hearing from you.
Hello, I am using digital portfolios in a university setting and they are beneficial but also time consuming. However, everything is turning digital I will be incorporating them in my own class room
The Learning Center has a digital portfolio for teachers you might take a look at and see if it would work for your teachers and it might also serve as a model for students. It is located under the My PD Tools at the top of the Learning Center page.
Thank you, Betty!
Kelly, As you peruse the NSTA PD Portfolio options, please feel free to use Live Support when it is ONLINE. All of the online advisors have created portfolios and can walk you through any of the elements. It is an excellent e-TOol for teachers to keep track of their professional development and practice reflective teaching and learning. Carolyn
