How would you/do you plan your trip to Mars?

I just did this with 6th graders last quarter - NASA has extensive collections of educational materials, including a 7-step "mission to Mars". https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/edu/teach/activity/mission-to-mars-unit/ Good background reading would be Mary Roach's book Packing for Mars.

That sounds so interesting. I don't teach Earth or Space science but I am so fascinated by this.

I didn't realize Mary Roach had a book on this topic. Is this the same author of Stiff?
