One teaching method or strategy that can be successful in helping students learn a concept in science would be to use inquiry-based learning. This means to have the students ask questions, conduct the experiment, and allow them to do hands on activities. If they are pushed to answer questions on their own or conduct the experiment by themselves then they will develop a understanding for what is being taught.

A teaching method or strategy that can be useful in helping students learn a science concept would be concept mapping. This allows students to create visual representations of the similarities between the topic being discussed. This visual aid helps students organize their thoughts and better understand the topic being taught. It also allows a more hands-on approach for students who need those visual aids to be successful.

Hello Demaris, My name is Seamus Poynton. I am a preservice teacher at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. A teaching method that I not only enjoy implementing but also participating in is Inquiry-Based learning. It is instruction with students being truly at the center. It begins with students asking questions followed by investigation, creation, discussion, and reflection. It provides a healthy mix of collaboration and hands-on instruction. The students guide the direction in which the classroom moves ensuring that creativity, communication, and critical thinking are at the center of the instruction.
