Physics and Math

I'm in my first year of co-teaching as a resident, and I will be teaching one block of physics this year (my background is in biology). One of the challenges that I noticed today on the first day of class is that many of my students seem to dislike math or find it to be a major area of weakness. I was wondering if there is a way to make physics less intimidating to students who are less inclined for mathematics. Any suggestions?

Hey! Noticed some are finding math a challenge. Try linking physics to real life – connect concepts to everyday stuff. Use visuals, hands-on demos, and break problems into steps. Make it less about equations, more about how physics impacts our world. Keep it light, and encourage questions. You got this!
