I am not sure how many in our forum teach a GMAS (Georgia Milestones Biology or Physical Science) course, but I am curious as to whether or not you actually have time to finish all of your course curriculum in time to adequately review with your students. Our exam window begins next week, and I am rushing to finish all of the content standards by Tuesday of this week so that I will have a few days to review with my students. I have provided them with a study guide; however, it does not beat an in class review where you can truly assess student understanding. Time has always been an issue for me with preparation for the end of course exams. It seems as if there is too much content for the amount of time allowed in the course, and I am not quite sure how in depth I should go with my students. Then once testing is over we have almost a month left in school and have to come up with things to do. If anyone teaches Biology and has a strategy for getting through all of the content, and having time to review, I would love to hear about it.
At least for review purposes, try "Life Science In Rhyme...." It's free on Amazon. Worth a shot.
