I selected “Connecting to real life' as one of the elements of transdisciplinary learning. Transdisciplinary learning connects with new knowledge and can have a deeper understanding of real life experiences. Students can design a sustainable garden project where they can apply math for calculations, by drawing a plant selection, and art for visual design elements. Students would be able to see the subject they’re studying tied together in unique and exciting ways through transdisciplinary learning. For example, when students see a pattern in a mathematical model, they may relate it to the patterns in music or to patterns in the natural world of plants and animals.
