Hello, I am currently a college student, soon to be teacher and I was wondering what are some ways to get the students to be more involved in science? What are some fun activites that I could possibly include in a future lesson in scince?

Hello Marissa,
I am a second year TK teacher and to keep my students engaged, I use several videos to make the content come alive. What also seems to work in my classroom is utilizing realia to allow students to explore the content with their hands. This helps students feel empowered with learning science without making it feel like they are doing work. I hope this was helpful!

Hello Marissa,
I am also a preservice teacher and I always wonder the same thing with just about every subject. Something that I have recently learned was that students are more likely to be engaged in their work if they have an active role in the assignment or project. Although project or activty based learning can seem to be a little overwhelming at first, I have learned that this is when the students are more invovled with the content. Students will take a sense of pride in something that they have created or designed, which is why I think this approach to lesson is the best. I hope this helps some!!
Thanks!!

I have another question that arose when considering this origional post... I am having some issues coming up with different strategies to get students involved with topics or subjects that they are not as interested in. Obviously, each studnet is unique and has their own preferences when it comes to subjects in school, but how can you get all of your students interested in the task or project at hand? What does it look like as a teacher to get all of you students curious about different topics and to interact with the material more? Would incorperating integrated lessons help to get all of the students on board?
Thanks in advance for the help!!
