Hi teacher friends,
At the UCAR Center for Science Education, we surveyed all our existing educational resources to identify which ones would work with students learning at home. Here's the link to the resource collection: Help K-12 Students Learn About Earth from Home.
Thanks for all that you are doing to help students in this odd time. Please post questions, comments, or related resources!
Take care,
Lisa Gardiner
Thank you for posting this resource.
Tahnks for nice web content, which developes students during virtual education.
Thank you for this fantastic resource! It has been a big change to convert to teaching online especially as a first-year teacher. I will definitely be utilizing this resource this week especially the hurricane tracking activity! It is so important for our students to be able to view maps and data and be able to relate it to our content.
Oh my goodness! First year of teaching is tough enough without this pandemic pandaminium! I'm glad you see useful activities in this mix. I agree about maps and data. And building data analysis skills can be a good fit for distance learning. What grade(s) are you teaching? Let me know if you have questions or need more recommendations.
Thank you for consolidating the remote teaching resources into an easy to find and use place. I especially like how there are online games and simulations links. At my school we are only live teaching for one hour a day, so those online games and simulations are great for me to assign students to work on them independently and further their understanding.
