Hello,

I hope this message finds you all well! Our team is working on a meta-analysis of effective writing practices in secondary math and science. This meta-analysis is a 3-year project funded by the National Science Foundation, and a summary of the project can be found here: https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=2404864&HistoricalAwards=false

We are excited about this project, and we are writing you with a request. Our team is currently reviewing abstracts for article inclusion in the meta-analysis. To conduct the most comprehensive literature review possible, we are requesting experts who may be conducting research related to secondary writing in math or science to contact us.

If you believe that you have any unpublished or published work (including journal articles, conference proceedings or posters, book chapters, dissertations, research reports, manuscripts under review, etc.) that may fit our inclusion criteria, would you please email Hannah Carter by Friday 3/21/25 at [email protected]

For published work, simply share the citation. For unpublished work, please provide a brief description of the study and a copy of a draft at any stage, so that we may communicate with you about including the study in our meta-analysis.

If you have any questions, please email me. We are grateful for your help in pushing this important work forward.

Best,

Hannah
