Hi Tailynn,

The word Technology in science is pretty broad. Here are a few definitions after doing a google search:

' the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry'

'the branch of knowledge dealing with engineering or applied sciences'

'machinery and equipment developed from the application of scientific knowledge'

Using the computer is only one kind of technology. Technology has more to do with change, solving problems, sharing information, altering landscapes, creating structures, etc.

In my opinion, when teaching science to young children, they need hands-on opportunities to discover how things work and experiment by using thier senses. For example, how can you really discover what soil is made of unless you dig in the dirt, get your hands dirty and activate your senses.

I've attached a few resources that you may find useful.

Let me know if I can further assist you.
