Hello!
I am doing a unit on rocks and minerals for third grade and while I was searching for activities I came across 'egg geodes'. I think this science experiment is really cool especially if you are talking about volcanic rocks.

Yes, the egg geodes are a fun activity. Thanks for sharing Kimberly. I have done this activity using copper sulfate. There are links on the internet if one cares to Google it. Carolyn

That sounds like a fun experiment to do with the students, and they look pretty I like having different experiments the students can do and then take home to share with their families to show them what they learned. Thanks for sharing.
