Hello all. This is my first tme exploring and posting in one of these forums, so bare with me while I figure out the norms.

I am curious how many teachers experience mandatory PD from their district that feels unnecessary, or a waste of time? I feel like if we as a society are ever going to truly make progress in equity for our students, equity for teachers needs to come along with it. Thoughts, opinions, etc welcome. 

I agree we all deserve to have access to quality professional development.

My first year teaching we had mandatory PD we had to sign up for and we had to choose two from a list. In the past few years we have not had that, maybe because of the pandemic, but this year we don't have it either. We just sign up for PD as we want to.
