Summer Science Shares?

Summer is such a great time to continue science outdoors.  What are you doing with your students?  Light and Shadow?  Plants?  Heat?  Water?  My class is playing with biomimicry, at the basic level of what desgin ideas can we gather from plants and animals  (possibly getting into iridescence and swipy shirts!).  Today we are starting with how plants stay stable in earthquakes (after another one here last week), and how that gives us ideas for building structures.  Let's share some of our ideas!
