Hello, I am a student at UTRGV in the Education program. My question is do we as new teachers create a schedule or does the school/ district provide one for us? If so how flexibile can the schedule changes be? Does it have to be followed exaclty as is? What happens if I am absent one day and the substitue does not follow it?

Hello Yasmin, I believe you go by the schedule the district provides for the teacher, usually, they already have a set schedule on what their day consists of, the schedule is usually always posted on the wall and it tells you the times of each subject that is going to be taught. Usually substitutes always follow the lesson plans provided and left by the teacher, they are very good with that.
