Hello Samantha,
My name is Koryn, and I am a pre-service teacher at Wartburg. We have talked a lot about how there is not enough time in the school day for all the subjects to be taught, especially in lower elementary grades. A great way to include science in other subjects is by using a cross-curricular approach. This approach lets you integrate learning with other subjects. For example, reading a book about worms is reading, but you are also incorporating science. Another idea is doing art on the seasons or making bugs. This is integrating art and science. That is how I would balance science with other subjects throughout the day.
