Hello!
My name is Yicel Calvillo and I am currently a senior in college. I will be student teaching in the spring and will hopefully have my own classroom soon! Throughout the years I have gone to different schools to observe classrooms. I have seen that in most classrooms there are diverse students that need adjustments. I would like to know if there are any strategies to best help these students. Is there something that has really worked for you in brining success to these students? I would like to help as best as I can on providing the necessary resources that will fit the needs of each student. Also, with the pandemic that is going on right now a lot of school are teaching remotely so how can teachers make adjustments/modifications for students when teaching remotely?
Thank you in advance!
Hi Yicel! I found an interesting page that provides general information regarding special needs in the classroom. The page specifically provides strategies and procedures to help diverse learners in a face-to-face science classroom, but I'm sure some of the strategies can be adapted to remote learning. I hope it can help give you some direction on how to best support your students in the future! Here is the link: https://www.nsta.org/learning-disabilities Take care,
Jessica
