Hello fellow elementary teachers, my question is: Do you have any advice for a new teacher going into the elementary education field?
Hello! My name is Caitlin Dreismeier and I am also a future teacher. The best advice I've heard from my professor is you will make mistakes, it will happen, but it will be ok and you just gotta learn from them. As long as your students feel loved when they get to school and when they leave, you are doing something right. Say hi to them by name when they come in, always let it be a new day for every student (don't hold their mistakes over them) and always make sure they know you care. They may never remember all the things you taught them but they will remember how you made them feel. Make it a happy and positive memory.
