Hello everyone,

I will hopefully be able to be an awesome new teacher after December 2021. As a first-year teacher, like many of us, I don't know how to engage them in fun activities but also very informative for them. I want fun and engaging activities for the younger kids such as kindergartens and 1st graders. I would like to include something that is fun for them and they can do on their own after I show them of course. I would like my students to be very involved in fun activities that help them understand science or any subject. As a future educator, does anyone have any new cool engaging activities to try with younger kids? Old classic experiments are awesome, and I would like to be able to use both new ideas and old ideas that have worked for teachers before. Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated. 

I taught Kindegrarden for five years - such a fun grade level!  As with teaching any grade level, all your lesson plans would be standards-based.  So, activities are highly dependent on the standards.  While not every state uses NGSS, most states are parallel and similar.
