STEAM is an educational framework that consists of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. I feel like STEAM is a brilliant learning and teaching method that provides students and teachers with the integration of subject learning along with real world problem-solving and problem discovery. This also gives students exposure to different career paths and the opportunity to collaborate with others. STEAM is currently not integrated in my learning environment being that I am taking classes online. However, I am certain that STEAM practices will be integrated into my learning environment once I begin residency. I hope this class will teach me how to be an impactful educator that teaches my students in a way that learning feels like an experience vs. a requirement.
