Hello fellow educators!  Wanted to start a discussion about ideas for teaching science when we need to restrict sharing of materials and maintain distance in the classroom setting.  Best Practices in science to help students understand their world will be difficult to implement during COVID.  Looking for thoguhts and ideas as we plan for the return to school.

Hi!  I am interested in sharing ideas around this topic as well. So far I have this info to share: https://https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/reopen-guidance.html

What are your thoughts for August?

Sincerely,

Stacy

I think this concern is one many of us are having as we prepare to be back in the classroom.  Using ziplocks is definately a way to get items in students hands but feeling safe.  I taught summer school STEM to prek-4th and just had to be creative with resources- I used a lot of recycled items so didn't have to spend money and could collect from family and friends (tp rolls, cardboard, scrap paper, etc.)  Then santized inbetween groups/days when had to use same items.
