Hey guys! So I love TED videos. I have a professor that shows us TED videos in class and sends us links to some over email. I have to say I look forward to them because they really get you thinking. The most compelling video for me was Aaron Huey's on the Lakota people as they are now, living on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. A great video to show your students if you're teaching Native American History. As for science, I liked Mae Jemison's video on integrating science and art in the classroom. And there are a bunch of videos, like that one, for professional development, and I encourage teachers to watch them. We should always reflect on our practices and try to become better teachers. TED videos are insightful and full of new ideas. If you're looking for videos to show your students, along with TED videos, I would recommend you search through the Khan Academy, BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr, and TeacherTube. Videos are a great way to engage learners and appeal to different learning styles. I use these websites myself to study for college exams :)
