I am a special education teacher. Most of my students have goals for reading, writing and math. I would like to incorporate science into my lessons. The reading program I use is SOAR and their books do cover social studies and science content. It is not enough! I would like to add more science into my lessons. Any suggestions? Thank you, Yvonne

Yvonne, First of all, I am more than pleased that you are looking for help in this area. Special educators usually are so important for ALL students. I think I could help you but I would need a bit more information. If you share a grade level,either myself or other elementary teachers might be able to suggest some ideas for science instruction that includes using the SOAR program. The other important piece would be to share the topic of some of the text pieces. Kathy Yvonne
