Any ideas on incorporating hands on learning for a third grade class involving the solar system?

Hi Heather,

NASA has some amazing hands on lessons for teachers. You can pick the grade level and topic and find the perfect fit for your class. Here is the link to check it out. Good luck.

A great way to incorporate hands-on learning involving the solar system, in the third grade, is by using manipulatives such as clay, play dough, or foam balls. Students can mold and show models of the different planets within the solar system. Creating a mobile is also another idea that is hands-on and uses materials found in households.
