My school adopted a new curriculum this year and I have discovered some of the lessons we do do not keep their attention for very long. The activites say they are suppose to last for 15 minutes but with my group we get them done within 5-6 minutes and then I have to find other things to incorporate to keep them engaged in the lesson.

Tell me more about the curriculum. Are there any extension lessons? Can you ask the kids thought provoking questions? Do the kids have a science journal they can write in after the lesson and draw a picture?
