Hello everyone!
I know schools offer programs for the children while they're in school hours like Epic and others but what other websites can we offer the parents for after school hours so the children can enjoy? It would really help to have available free programs for the students that want to continue learning while at the same time using technology in their homes and sharing this resources with the families would be of great benefit.
Hello Rosa. My name is Kathryn Christy, and I am a pre-service educator in my fourth year of my undergraduate education.
Within my science education methods course, I had the opportunity to find a unique science-based educational resource that could be utilized in a school setting. The resource I found was Sheppard Software, which consisted of various free games and activities to engage students in all subjects including science. The specific activity I utilized was The Food Chain Game, which allowed for students to practice creating food chains and see the interconnections between ecosystems.
Hi Rosa,
Great question, students are able to log into their IReady account at home and practice on their Math skills and reading. I-Ready is a program that combines diagnostic assessments with personalized online instruction for students in grades K-8 in reading and math. It's designed to help teachers plan instruction, set goals, and assess student progress by providing tailored learning experiences based on individual needs.
Hi Rosa! So I know about a free program we use at my current job which is clever. It is great because they it offers different types of subjects.
Thanks for posting this question, the replies have been very helpful!
