Hello, I am a student teacher in a 5th grade classroom. I am trying to create a 5E lesson plan and I am hoping that someone could help me find some good ideas and some fun activities that I could use in this lesson plan. Any help would be great since my placement in the school is in a ELA/Social Studies classroom and not a Science class.
Hi, Eddy. I'm not sure what the topic of the lesson will be. Are you going to be teaching science in an ELA/SS class? There are many opportunities for cross curricular lessons. One place to look for inspiration is http://ngss.nsta.org/Classroom-Resources.aspx Another option is to use the Explore All Resources tab on the top menu bar.
I have a bunch of STEM resources that you might want to check out: Gabe's STEM resources
Thank you Pamela and Gabe for the suggestions. Pamela I am going not going to teach a science lesson in an ELA class. So sorry that I was not more clear. I am required to teach a science lesson in a science classroom. The lesson is supposed to be over adaptation, the structure and functions that help animals survive. I do not think I said that right. I did follow you link and saw some interesting items, thank you.
Gabe Kraljevic, Thank you very much. I have just looked at the resources that you so graciously provided. I know that I can use many of these. Thank you! Eddy Martinez
