Hello! I am a teacher candidate at Penn State, and am creating a lesson plan for my science methods class. I would like to do a lesson for third or fourth graders on space travel. While my dream would be to have an astronaut talk to my kiddos, I know that is difficult. Do you have recommendations for good trade books about astronauts that focus on travel? I’m thinking Sally Ride, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and a few others. Thank you for your recommendations!
Hi Kaylin:

Hopefully, it will serve your purpose and passion for wanting to engage your students in Earth and Space.
Thanks,

Hi Kaylin! Here's a start https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/SOFIA/overview/index.html and https://www.nasa.gov/stem/about.html
Depending on where you teach, you will find many NASA connected educators or astronauts, or astronauts in training, who would be thrilled to talk to your class.
Don't give up and best of luck!
