I attended Scholastic's sessions at NSTA on their Science Magazine, ScienceWorld. I have not previously used science magazines in my classroom but I can see areas where I could potentially add them in. Next year I will have at least two sections of Honors Physical Science, inclusion Physical Science and a resource biology class. The areas I see the magazine as useful are especially in the resource class that I will have next year (approximately 6 students) and for my honors students and/or early finishers. Do any of you currently use science magazines or have you in the past? If so, how do you use them? How has it benefited your students? Our ISC said we have special education money set aside for resources like this in the classroom.
