Hello everyone! I wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts or advice on scaffolding lessons for different levels of learning. I'm currently completing my field hours in a 3rd grade inclusion classroom, where we have several students performing far below grade level as well as a few that are way above. In my recent STEM lesson on forces and motion, I felt that my lower students struggled too much and didn't get much out of the lesson, and my higher students were bored.
So, some questions on my mind have been:
How do I provide enough support for my lower students without removing the challenge?
How do I increase the challenge for my higher students without separating them from the group?
