Hello, my name is Ally Onstad and I'm a preservice elementary teacher attending Wartburg College.

I am curious to hear from experienced teachers how you include STEM into other content areas as well. Science is typically an overlooked subject in elementary schools and I'd like to know different methods of incorrporating STEM into everyday content before I begin my first year teaching.

Hello Ally, I am also a preservice teacher, I attend wright state. I have had to do several lessons incorporating science into other subjects. I am currently in a kindergarten class. We have no time for science so I have used reading time to incorporate science by using a mentor text and doing an activity that also incorporates reading and science. I have also done a couple of writing activities that also have science. We did an opinion piece that told us what animal they liked best and why so we did some research on animals before completing this piece. I have also been able to use math and science as well.
