Hi everyone! I'm working on teacher certification and a master's now, and will be looking for employment pretty soon. I was just wondering if anybody had any tips on finding good employment as a STEM teacher specifically or in general. What do you look for in a school? How can you tell if a school has a supportive environment, or encourages new or different teaching methods? How do you know a school might be a good fit for you?

If a school has an established STEM program, take a day to go visit and immerse yourself in the learning environment. If a school doesn't have a STEM program, but wants to start one, you will have to jump in ready to implement STEM as you go. Schools that don't have a STEM track do no always know what they need to do to support the implementation and you would need to provide them with some ways to incorporate STEM in phases. Good luck.
