Hello, my name is Ally Onstad and I'm a pre-service elementary teacher attending Wartburg College. I am beginning my first year teaching in the fall, and I'm wondering who the best resource is for your first year. I've heard about many resources such as a mentor, the students, and other teachers, but I want to know what has helped other teachers the best.

Hi Allison, 

    I am in my final year before getting my degree in education but have had experience within the school setting as a para for a few years. The biggest things you can do is find a person on your grade team or a couple people that you can go to for help and guidance.You can always make sure to attend profession development opportunites that are either through your school or offered in the community. These things can help you with resources or just advice to use within your classroom. I hope this helps!
