I am switiching careers and will be teaching elementary education soon. Being experienced teachers what are some ways that you teach nutrition in your classrooms? Are there any activites that you have found peek the students intrest in nutrtion and help them retain the information?

Ashley, in addition to the resources Flavio shared with you, there are some external resources available that you can find by doing a simple Google Search. Kids love interactive games on white boards, iPads, and laptops. Check out this link to a number of websites designed for young students and youth.

Hi Ashley,

See the search string below from a quick search on the term 'nutrition' in the Learning Center. I also added the filters 'elementary' and 'journal articles.'  NSTA's journal for elementary school teachers is Science and Children.  Many of the articles includes ideas for the classroom.
