Hello everyone! I'm Erin, and I'm getting my Master's degree in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. I'm not yet a teacher, but I was curious to know from current elementary or middle school teachers:

1). How do you assess or evaluate the science knowledge of any ESL students in your class?

2). How do you make sure that ESL students are understanding science topics being covered during a lesson so that they do not fall behind?
